WHat is under the apple tree?

Under the apple tree is a metaphor for

that place where God, the Divine One, finds and awakens us,

that place where we came to be,

that place where we know we are alive,

that place where we know joy and suffering,

that place where life happens,

the place where we live.

It is a place that is specific to us.

The words are found in an ancient Biblical love poem* about a king and maiden,

but also about the Divine and us.

Under the apple tree

we awaken to the God who finds and awakens us.
